Viking is a noun and a verb. To go a viking broadly means someone leaving their homeland in search of adventure abroad. Historically, this meant Norse raiders and pirates seeking fame and fortune with axes, horned helmets, and longboats. I repurpose this phrase to refer to the wanderlust of my generation as we seek out the plunder of purpose and meaning with GoPros, VPNs, and Chacos.
