Colin and I loved Colombia! We spent 3 weeks in 4 different Colombian cities with the last being Bogotá. It's a huge city with a lot to do. There are of course tourist attractions, but also great people, great bars, and great restaurants.

San Gil is known as the adventure capital of Colombia, and that it is, but I’ve been to a few different “adventure capitals” (two of the most memorable being Interlaken, Switzerland and Livingstone, Zambia) in my day, and this was definitely the most boring one.
Medellín (pronounced either Medeyeen or Medejeen depending on your accent, but definitely not with an L sound) is a large city, and I really liked the vibe of the city! Everyone was friendly and in a good mood. Also, the weather was a much needed break from the extreme heat in Cartagena. It’s much less humid and cooler in Medellín, although still warm.
Cartagena is definitely worth a visit if you are coming to Colombia. Tourists seem to stay near the old town and beaches, but there is also a bustling city right outside the colonial stone walls around old town. I can’t say much about the city though since we didn’t have the energy to explore it in the unbearable humidity and heat that was Cartagena.
Horrendous has to be the only word for this tour. I have seen reviews of other tour companies that might not be as terrible, but this review is specifically for the official tour company of Cartagena. DO NOT GO WITH THEM!
