 We LOVE Mexico City! I can’t believe that we’ve never come here before – it’s so cheap to get here; super cheap once you’re here; and a great city on top of that.

Arizona was fun! I don't know if we'll end up there because Colin says he wants more trees, but I had a good time. Tucson seems to have more personality than Phoenix does, but we went to the Film Bar in Phoenix for a "Big Gay Sing Along" and had a ton of fun. I'd get a membership there if we lived there for sure. We did karaoke in Tucson (and I got Colin to sing!), and that was a blast too. We also went to Old Tucson which was really cute. We saw a comedy stunt show where they explain what they do in old Western movies, and that was pretty entertaining. Now we are back in Waxhaw with Colin's family, and we got to see Indiana Bones for a day! We fly to Florida tomorrow, and we won't have a vehicle from here on out :)
See our USA photos here.  We got to visit my grandfather, Baba, in Payson, AZ (about an hour and a half from Phoenix and more mild weather). Payson is in the Tonto National Forest which has a lot of stuff to see / do, and the landscape is beautiful -- lots of cacti and big rocks. I love it! Payson is a small, quiet town, and it was very peaceful. We drove south from Payson to visit the Tonto National Monument and cliff dwellings of a group of people known by archaeologists as the Salado. We were only able to visit the Lower Cliff Dwellings because the Upper ones are only open from November - April. The Upper ones are more intact and larger, so maybe someday we'll get to visit those.
 LA is super cool. And not just because my wife lives there (long story), but the best part of the city is getting to see her for sure. The weather is typically perfect, and there are some hikes that aren't too far out of the city. We hiked up to the Hollywood sign (beware... if you park inside the gates, they close them at sunset! We had to jog down to get to the car in time) in Griffith Park, and we had a nice view of the city too! There are a few other things in the park that I want to do next time we visit (like the observatory). We had delicious ramen and Korean BBQ (yummmmm) -- You can find any type of food you want in the city which is so nice. We also got to see Pomo and Harrison Brome live, and they were AMAZING! Must sees if they come to a city near you.
See our USA photos here. We saw the largest tree in the world, General Sherman. This sequoia tree is about 2,200 years old; weighs 1,385 tons; ; is 275 feet tall; and has a circumference of 103 feet. It's not the tallest or the widest living tree, but it has the most volume and weight which makes it the "largest" living tree in the world.
 Yet another amazing national park. Yosemite has a lot of waterfalls and big rocks - both of which I love. We did the Mist Trail hike to Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls. You DEFINITELY need rain gear this time of year because with the snow melting, the waterfalls are just gushing. We got soaking wet! You can shorten the trail and only go to Vernal Falls, but since we did a pretty long hike, I got to 30,000 steps!
 I had heard of Yellowstone before, as I'm sure most of you have (even if you haven't been). I knew it was supposed to be super impressive, but I really didn't know why. Colin was so excited for me to be surprised that he wouldn't let me look at pictures before we went (cuuuuute, I know). So, I'll tell you right now - you need to visit.
 There's something so majestic about snow-capped mountains. It's probably just because I'm from Florida, so I think we're going to have to spend the next part of our life in the west. Otherwise, I'm going to have to keep taking pictures every time I see a mountain...
 I never knew what to think of Utah. I hadn't really heard much about it to be honest. Like I said previously, I had never heard of Moab. I didn't know that Utah has so many National Parks and that there are so many things to do all over the state. During my first 4 days in Utah, we were in 4 national parks (see separate posts), so I didn't know if it was the park atmosphere that I liked about our time there or Utah in general. But now I know -- I really like Utah!
 Zion is breathtaking. Just look at this view! You definitely need to visit Bryce Canyon as well.
