Providence, Rhode Island

We spent the day in Providence for 3 reasons: 1) Colin needed to visit so he could get his 48th state, 2) Colin wanted to visit Pawtucket Brewery from Family Guy, and 3) Colin has been listening to Crime Town which is a new podcast all about the mafia in Rhode Island. ​

Are those good reasons?  Sure!  Why not?  I thought we might offend people by telling them that those were the only reasons we were visiting their city, but everyone was super nice, and no one seemed to care.  They were just happy to chat.  We went to Foolproof Brewery in Pawtucket (the closest thing to the real Pawtucket Brewery because as it turns out, that is not a real brewery).  The beer was good and the people were nice.  

We drove around a few of the sites from Crime Town (an old laundry mat, city hall, a fur warehouse where what could have been one of the largest heists in history occurred).  

And then we stayed on the couch of a Couchsurfer and her 2 roommates.  The three girls are in college, and they were very welcoming!  Their 2 dogs were also welcoming, and we definitely got some cuddles in :)
